Planning BoardThe Planning Board is made up of eight members; seven reside inside the Town limits and one resides within the Town's extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). The Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Town Hall Council Chambers, 128 S. Main St. The meetings are open to the public.The Planning Board is responsible for reviewing all development proposals for rezonings, and other development-related requests, and offers recommendations on these to the Town Council. The Planning Board also develops and recommends revisions and additions to the Town's Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Growth Plan in partnership with the Town Council and the Town's planning staff. Although the board has no judicial authority, the Town Council relies on the Planning Board to offer guidance in their decision-making process.
Members are appointed, on a rotating schedule, each December to three-year terms by the Town Council. If a seat is vacated, a new member will be appointed mid-year to fill the remaining term of the vacated member. The Board of Adjustment meets, as needed, at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month in the Town Hall Council Chambers at 128 S. Main Street. The meetings are open to the public.The Board of Adjustment has quasi-judicial powers and acts separately from the Town Council. The Board of Adjustment conducts public hearings and renders rulings on variances from the Unified Development Ordinance. The Board of Adjustment also hears any appeals to decisions made by the Department of Planning & Zoning staff. Board of Adjustment members are listed below:

The Recreation Advisory Committee has nine members. It meets at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of each month in the Town Hall Council Chambers. Meetings are open to the public.
The committee advises the Town Council and the Parks & Recreation Department. It serves as a liaison between the Town and the citizens of Holly Springs and the surrounding area. To contact the board, e-mail pradvisoryboard@hollyspringsnc.us.
