HollyFest 5K

The HollyFest 5K kicks off the annual Holly Fest celebration. The fitness walk and the Learn with the Best Tot Trot allow the community to be part of the event, too. Great prizes from local businesses and breathable /Tech shirts for 5K runners are included in the registration fee.

The race is on USA Track & Field certified course #NC06117NW. The 5K race starts at 9 a.m. with the free 1-mile fitness walk and free "tot trot" following minutes later.

Registration Options

  • Mail-in - Send registration form by Oct. 17, 2008 to Jackie Miller/ Holly Fest 5K, 112 Hickory Glen Lane, Holly Springs, NC 27540
  • Online - Register online at ActiveZach.com through midnight Oct. 23, 2008.
  • Race Day - Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. near the the ball fields parking lot on Grigsby Avenue.

Packet Pickup

Packets for pre-registered runners available at W.E. Hunt Community Center on Stinson Avenue on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Timing Device

Champion chip timing will be provided for accuracy. Runners are expected to return the chip at the end of the race. A charge of $30 will be made to runners who do not return their chip.

5K Awards

  • Top 3 male and female in 5K
  • Top 3 masters male and female in 5K
  • Top 3 in each age group - 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over
  • Baby jogger - top male and female in 5K
  • All kids in Learn with the Best Tot Trot receive a free prize.

Awards Ceremony

Held at approximately 10:30 a.m. at race location. (Awards will not be mailed. They will be kept at the Hunt Community Center for two weeks after the race.)

Participants who want to attend the Hollyfest celebration afterward may shower and change at the Hunt Center locker room.
